Jabberwitchy by Mad Sweeney

Erica- this is a celebratory praise poem in the traditional epic style
in honor of your bravery in the face of grave adversities on Beltanes
past (1993) (don't ask):

'Twas Beltane and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble round the may pole
All mimsy were the druid groves
And the pagans all unstabled

Beware the Jabberwitch my friend
The jaws that talk, the claws that flew
Beware the moonie-birds and then
The fumious asatru

She took her tai-chi sword in hand
Long time the nancy foe she sought
So she rested in the bath-a-room
And sat a while in thought

And as she uffly sat and swore
The Jabberwitch, with eyes masscarade
Came whining to the bathroom door
And burbled as it came.

One Two! One Two! And through and through
Her razor-wit went snicker-snack!
She left it dead and with its head
She went a'celting back.

And hast thou slain the Jabberwitch?
Come to my arms, my beamish lass!
Oh frabious day! Bíodh sé Bíodh sé!
We chortled all en-mass!

'Twas Beltane and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble round the may pole
All mimsy were the druid groves
And the pagans all unstabled
