The fall hawkwatch season is quickly approaching and preparations are under way to continue the annual hawk count at Wildcat Ridge WMA (http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/wldcthwk.htm). Volunteers are needed to count hawks migrating through and over the valley at Wildcat Ridge from August 15 - November 15 and again in the spring from Feb 15 - May 15.

The hawk watch is manned daily during daylight hours during the migration seasons. Counters are needed and any amount of volunteering even if only a few hours a week would be appreciated. The watchers at Wildcat Ridge are willing to train any individual with an interest and trainees are welcome to come anytime to develop the skills needed for proper identification.

If interested, you are required to be or become a Division of Fish and
Wildlife - Wildlife Conservation Corps volunteer.

To become a volunteer please visit our website at http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/wcchome.htm and print out an application and send it to the address on the application.
