Grove Bard— Jenniforensic

Jenniforensic was elected Grove Bard and began officially serving in that role on Samhain 2007.

A Real Live Dead People Anthropologist™ with an unhealthy love for coffee, freemasonry, high ceremony and low humor, a series of fortuitous events brought Jenniforensic to the Grove in December of 2001.

Strangely enough, she liked it so much she decided to stay and has been active in ritual planning, hit-and-run meditation and authorship of marginally unsettling poetry and song ever since.

Jenniforensic is not so much Fool as Peanut Gallery for the Gods, and, when irritated – more often than not her default state – is easily appeased with offerings of good coffee and shiny objects.

She has been a member of Our Druidry since 2003, and continues to be deeply committed to her twin callings of serving humanity and general wiseassery – which, unsurprisingly, generally go hand-in-hand (at least in her mind).

Thank you Maggie!

Grove Bard Emeritus – Jenne (Kwannon)

Longtime grove member Jenne was elected Grove Bard in 2003 and served until Samhain 2007.
Her voice and various instruments have graced many of our rituals.
Jenne is the second Grove member to complete ADF's Dedicants Program.
(Jenne has since moved to upstate New York. We wish her the best success there!)

Jenne has recorded her song "A Lover's Hymn to Blodeuwedd" for your listening pleasure!
This is the beautiful and haunting song she sang at our Lughnasadh in 2004. Click here to listen to the MP3. Or here for reviews.

Our talented and inspired Bard, Jenne, (Kwannon), has announced that her SECOND solo album, "Anahata," is finally available in digital format (meaning you can download it) from Woven Wheat Whispers, a British digital label/distributor. It features the lovely cover art of GOG member Jack Parra. Read more at http://www.wovenwheatwhispers.co.uk/Label-Review-Kwannon.htm or go to Jenne Micale's website, where you can order her cds: "People can now order CDs directly from me, including the new one. It's www.kwannon.net. It includes an explanation and photos of some of the strange instruments I use."

Jenne's newest CD, Oisin, can also be purchased at Woven Wheat Whispers. Oisin is a beautiful work, one of Kwannon's best. It contains original songs, and songs with lyrics by W.B. Yeats and GOG's own Ed Chapman. The cover art is by GOG artist Jack Parra.

A founding member of the Norse-Gaelic Kindred of Mann since Thorrablöt 2009

Annie has a terrible addiction to medieval studies degrees, but acknowledgement is the first step towards recovery. She can bluff her way through any language spoken in northern Europe between the ninth and twelfth centuries. Feel free to request an overlong explanation of any piece of literature from this period. Or, if you've got an hour to spare, ask about art!
