Dear GOG friends,

Longtime Grove of the Other Gods member and friend Peg Eckert passed away suddenly on Monday (January 15th) at her home. Tests are still being done, but at this time they think it was her heart that failed. (Click here for the obituary.)

The funeral service was held on Friday January 19th, 2007 at Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home in Milltown, New Jersey (Click here if you wish to read the eulogy.) followed by a repast for the family and friends in New Brunswick. Over 100 people attended the viewing and service, and over 50 the repast, a small percentage of the lives that Peg touched. (Thanks to all of you at GOG for helping with food, cleanup, and emotional and logistical support.)

Peggy was friend and "mom" to much of the central NJ Pagan community. Among many other things, she taught us tarot, bellydancing, and how to laugh and enjoy life. She will be terribly missed.
